Groundfloor has been around for over 30 years. I have been going there 2 or 3 times per week for 11 years. They are in it for the long haul and are not a flash in the pan, trendy place.
You have basically two options - either one-on-one with a teacher, or semi-private which are 2 teachers with 4 clients. You never lack for attention, instruction or correction to your form. Almost all the work is done on the Reformer and the Cadillac, but they have all the other equipment. They also offer a group Mat class on Saturdays.
The studio is sunny, bright, and clean. Dressing rooms have cubbies for regulars, if you want to leave your stuff there. There is a room where massages are offered, if you care to indulge in a total body relaxation experience.
Groundfloor is low key and earnest. They focus on correct form and less on speed or high resistance, so you really have to work your deep muscles. The teachers are attentive and great, and they have good longevity with teachers. Workouts are customized to your needs. And they will work with special needs. I've seen clients work right up to the end of pregnancies, and come back just weeks after joint surgery.
Groundfloor's prices are reasonable compared with other studios, and seem even more so considering the level of attention and quality of the training. It has a friendly and convivial atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough.
